Equity MF Redemption Moves to T+2 From Feb 1, 2023

This move is in line with the Settlement of Equity Market, which is reduced to T+1 from earlier T+2 effective from Jan 27, 2023.
AMFI announced that the Mutual Fund Redemption Payment Cycle for Equity Schemes would also be moved to T+2 from earlier T+3.
As the Settlement of Equity Markets reduced to T+1 making the availability of funds a day sooner than at present, to pass on this benefit to mutual fund investors, AMFI has decided this move for equity schemes as well.
This means, From Feb 1st, 2023 onwards if you place a redemption request on Monday in any equity scheme, you will get the payment on Wednesday. (Considering all three are working days.)
