Will SENSEX Continue To Make New Highs?

As we see these days that stock markets are making new highs currently SENSEX is above 40,000, Will it continue to make new highs & make more money?

SENSEX was started in 1979 at 100 which is a return of now 400 times in 40 years which means if you had invested Rs.1,00,000 (one lakh) in 1979 it would be worth Rs.4 Crore today, dividends are not included yet.

Many investors doubt when they read that SENSEX will touch 50,000 or 1,00,000 – they feel these figures are impossible as SENSEX is already at high levels how higher will it go now?

I hope all investors who question or doubt these figures, must be a cricket fan or must have known following instances from Cricket that I’m going to share:

• In 1983 Kapil Dev Scored a record inning of 175*: This was a magnificent inning in Cricket History everyone was awestruck by this wonderful performance by Kapil Dev & no one believed that this record will ever be broken or new high in One Day Inning will ever be made by any batsman.

• In 1999 Saurav Ganguly Scored 183: This was a next ODI record by an Indian Batsman, those people who believed that Kapil Dev’s record won’t be broken Saurav Ganguly did make a new high In Indian Cricket History. Now many believed no one will be able to break Ganguly’s record.

• In 2010 Sachin Tendulkar Scored 200*: Here the record-breaker of Cricket History Sachin Tendulkar breaks this record too by scoring 200 (not out). This was also the first-ever double century in ODI History. No one believed this will break too.

• In 2011 Virendra Sehwag Scored 219: Again a new high was made where everyone believed Sachin’s record of 200 can’t be beaten easily this was the next year in 2011 when Sehwag broke the record by scoring 219. Now everyone made a firm belief that it is impossible to break as it’s at some another level.

• In 2014 Rohit Sharma smashed 264: Now this was a storm record by Rohit Sharma, everyone who believed that Kapil Dev’s, Ganguly, Tendulkar & Sehwag’s record can’t be broken for ODI highest scorer then Rohit Sharma broke the record with a huge margin, in fact, those who believed double century in ODI is not possible – Rohit Sharma did it three times till date. Rohit Sharma is currently the highest ODI Scorer in Cricket History. 

As Rohit Sharma proved everyone wrong from the days of Kapil Dev & someone will also come to break Rohit’s record too because skill sets, facility, dedication, system, potential everything is increasing these days in sports & cricket.

Similarly SENSEX will keep on making new highs too as corporate earnings, potential markets, tax cuts, transportation, communication, ease of doing business everything is increasing here too.
